Pet Evacuation Plan

An evacuation plan is a necessity for every home, especially if you live in an area where fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, flooding, and other disasters are a possibility. I am sure you created an evacuation plan for your home and practice with your kiddos. But… raise your hand if you have created a plan for your furbabies? I will admit, I have a plan for tornados but not fires or such. Take these steps to add your pets to your evacuation plan.

Assign pet evacuation to an adult. Everyone should know how to act during an evacuation, and that includes assigning one parent or adult to the pets. This allows the other parent and the children to focus on their part of the evacuation plan, so there’s no confusion during a high-stress moment when time is of the essence.

Keep evacuation maps and pet carriers readily accessible. If you need to evacuate, you should know exactly where every important item is. If you pets require carriers, keep them in a place that you can access easily.

Practice your plan. Include your pets in your home evacuation drills. It’ll help you see how they will respond and make changes to your plan if necessary. Getting your dog out of a window may not be as simple as you think!

Be prepared in case you get separated from your pets. No matter how much you drill your evacuation plan, it’s possible that a dog or cat will run off while you’re focusing on keeping your family safe. A microchip or a GPS-compatible tag can help you find your pets once it’s safe to return to the area.

Live In The Moment

I really struggle to live in the moment.

I want so badly to live in the moment, I just, I don’t know, don’t. I’m notorious for getting stuck in my head. I  always seem to worry about the future, what people think, what I look like, how will I do xyz. Then the next thing I know I am reflecting on my day and I realize that I was over stressed about the silliest things, or I wasn’t paying enough attention to something or worse someone. Does this sound like y’all? Oh, good! I am so glad I am not alone.

Through reading, podcasts, word of mouth, maybe written in the sky a few times… we all know there are major benefits to living in the moment. Did you know simply living in the moment can ease fears, boost concentration and make you better in bed… Oh, yeah, baby! And that’s just a list of my favs! Living in the moment is incredible. I wish I had a secret answer to help me do it every moment of every single blessed day.

Just the other day I got home and cried as I reflected on how not in the moment I was that day…. This was a big day for us.

He got to fly for the first time and we got to go to the beach for the first time in a year plus. Obviously, I was so excited…. Ooops… Mistake #1. That night after reflecting I realized that my biggest blunder was putting way too much pressure on me and this amazing day.  Worse yet, putting too much pressure on my 2 year old son who has as much energy as the Tasmanian Devil. Perfection is the enemy of progress. And seriously who can live up to those expectations?! I can’t. I’m chugging along on the Mama Bear Hot Mess Express. I seriously dripped sweat the entire day. It was disgusting. And Duke pooped 4 times that day… like what the hell did this kid eat?! In conclusion… this day was just not destined to be “Perfect”

But guess what, it really was kind of perfect. We had so much fun and the next morning Duke woke up jabbering about how much fun he had. I got to spend the day exploring  and learning the world with my son… How more perfect can a day get?! Maybe if I would have stopped trying to be perfect I could have seen just how perfect everything really was.

So, maybe you have the whole perfecting thing down. What about stress? I think this is one that is probably the easiest to correct, yet the hardest to correct..I live with postpartum anxiety so overwhelmed has become my daily state of being. It haunts my every move. But I have learned a few tricks to help me cope… Keep in mind I do none of these well. If I did I probably wouldn’t be writing this post, bitching about how much I suck at living in the moment… I digress… My favorite nugget is reminding myself to take one bite at time.  I always say, How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. I get overwhelmed and stressed out because I look at the entire picture instead of that first brush stroke. Sound familiar? Sometimes though, saying my mantra doesn’t help. Sometimes I just have to do something. Anything! Just do something to get started so I can see nothing is impossible and I can do all things.

What about trying to hurry hurry, hurry? Are any of y’all guilty of the hurry up express? Me! However, you can’t rush life. Everything has it’s own time. Anyone who knows me knows I am a Southern Belle at heart… but apparently I lived in NYC too long and I get the hustle speed real quick. Recently I have been trying to slow down. I am working really hard to be mindful of everything I do… even how quickly I walk. Slow down. It is amazing how simply slowing down fixes so much of my Can’t Live In The Moment Ailments. When I focus on slowing down I find the I don’t stress, I breathe more, I forget about being perfect. I just… well, live in the moment! So maybe that is the magic trick to get me to live in the moment. Slow Down.

I will say that from what I know about living in the moment and being present… it’s a life long journey. You don’t wake up one day and say “Yep, today is the day. I am going to always and forever live in the moment.” I am sure there are people out there that can totally do that… And well, they suck. I mean it, with love, of course. But for real… we have got to, absolutely must, give ourselves a freaking break. Let it go (Don’t sing the song… HA!). Live your life the best you can. Remember, a big part of living in the moment is not living in the past. Don’t dwell on not living in the moment yesterday. Shrug it off and keep going. This moment needs your attention.

I hope this was helpful… Since I am totally on the struggle bus here and I am sure many of y’all are too it would be amazing if y’all could share some things that you do to stay present. Help a girl out!

Till next time, muah!

Organize Your Life

Life is chaotic, messy and sometimes overwhelming.  I say sometimes, that’s funny, I mean every single flipping day! Let’s be real… life RARELY turns out as we plan. I am almost always late, or forgetting  to call someone back or well… anything and everything else that I was supposed to do. That is why I have my little organizational hacks to keep life on track. Well on track as much as life of a single, real estate, boss mom can be. Here are my tops:

CRM (Contact Management System

For those not in the business world this may be foreign. Those of you in the entrepreneurial biz sphere you know we live and die by our CRMs. However, for me I have learned to leverage mine not just for business. Trade secret, I use mine for my personal contact management too. Hell yes I do! Okay, so let me break it down… Basically a CRM helps us to keep in touch with leads, clients, customers, etc. I use BoomTown so I can text, email, call, set To Dos (like mail cards), blah, blah, blah. All of this helps me connect. SO why not use it for those in my personal life too?! I use my CRM to remind me to call friends to grab drinks every so often, to send birthday cards, Check in on friends when they have been having a tough go of it… Pretty much anything that is important. I want people to know how much I love them… even if I have a horrible brain that never remembers anything. It has really helped me stay connected. Of course remember I said we live and die by them so when I don’t use it properly… whelp, shit falls apart and I become a total hermit. SO that sucks!

Push Journal

Not to promote a bunch of stuff but I can’t help it. I seriously love this shit. My next obsession is the Push Journal. It was created by the one and only Chalene Johnson (Side note: if you don’t follow her… um, you need to!). The Push is a cross between a journal, goal setter, and planner. It’s a whole lot of Boss. This is my fav planner because it keeps everything organized as far as my events go but it also keeps my To Dos focused on my goals. It helps me organize my goals and attack them in the most effective way possible. And if you’re in the business world it is structured in 3 month segments so you can push to achieve your quarterly goals. Plus I love the layout. I find it to be very helpful in the brainstorming process.

Clothes Bins

This sounds super basic. It really is. I can’t even lie. Every night I put Duke’s clothes in it for the next day. This is super helpful because I am not always the one who takes him to daycare so… I can’t guarantee that he will be handsomely styled everyday. But with my bins I can! For me, I don’t use a bin…my clothes are to complex for a bin… MmmKay! I have a hook on the back of my door and I plan my outfits on Sunday and hang them up. That way I don’t have to think so much. HA! I am totally serious. I get so stressed out about what I am going to wear so this eliminates all that stress and makes my mornings super quick and easy. As a total non-morning person, this is a blessing.

Water Jug

Water jug… stay with me, y’all! My last little organization nugget is a water jug. Drinking enough water is so so important. It helps you combat stress, acne, scaly skin and so much more. It is vital to our lives to get that water in our systems. I use the one gallon YETI. I carry that baby with me everywhere. I fill her up and make it my mission to drink every drop of it before the day ends. The YETI is nice because I spend a lot of time in my car so I need something that will hold up to the heat of the sun beaming in on my car. That baby keeps my ice water icy! At the end of the day I always pour that last bit thinking it will be hot. WRONG. Ice Ice Baby! Get one. You’ll love it.

SO that’s my list. I hope these are helpful… I will say, in my little opinion I think organization is most successful when it fits your life.  If it doesn’t fit seamlessly into your daily routine then it wont be helpful. It might even make you less organized. So play around with these and see what y’all like.

Y’all know I love to hear from you. So drop me a line below, Tell me what you thought of these hacks and def share some of your own tricks!

5 Secret Cleaning Weapons

Clean DIY Style Before The Holiday Mayhem

The Holidays are coming! Yes, that means family is coming in too! Is your home in need of some cleaning or home maintenance that have been lingering on your to-do list for too long because you’re SO NOT looking forward to those countless trips to the hardware or craft store? There are some projects you can tackle with items that are almost certainly already in your home! BOOM.

Vinegar: There’s probably a jug of vinegar in your pantry right now. Got some clogged shower heads? You can soak items in vinegar to remove mineral deposits, and you can boil vinegar in your microwave to remove odors and make it easier to clean.

Cola: A can of Coke can be used to clean tons of surfaces, including your glass windows, porcelain toilet, or chrome fixtures. Just be sure to do some research before using it on metal surfaces, as it can be corrosive.

Baking soda: A baking soda-vinegar paste is great for cleaning bathrooms and kitchens. Baking soda can also be used to absorb odors… stick a box of it in the back of any space to clear the air.

Butter knife: Screwdrivers are easy to misplace. If you can’t find a screwdriver when you need one, a butter knife, preferably an older one that you no longer need on the table for Turkey Dinner, is pretty effective for both Phillips- and flat-head screws. Who knew!

Toothpaste: Is there an unsightly scratch on your car or bike? The grit in tarter-control toothpastes makes for an effective scratch remover. Clean the scratch, apply some toothpaste, let it sit for a few minutes, and then buff it out with paper towel. Ta-Da!

Get through the holidays in shiningly fabulous breeze. And save some dough for… um, maybe a little something pretty for you! Sounds like a win-win!

Wandering NYC

I am not a big touristy kind of girl… especially when I am visiting a place I used to live. I like to experience a place like the locals do. However, in New York City, if you want to do the tourist things then there is plenty that is amazingly educational about the cities rich history. But this post is about my recent trip to the Big Apple, which was all about riding the city vibe.

My boss babe friend has been living in the city for a few months on an incredible internship. She found a cute little AirBnB in Brooklyn… So, when I lived in NYC I think I went to Brooklyn once, maybe twice. It wasn’t a very nice place and when you have to take an hour train ride… That was like traveling to LA in a car from Ohio! I’m good. So I was definitely in shock when I got there and realized how cute Brooklyn is. Who knew! It felt so homey and from what I saw and understand it is more afordable to live than Manhattan. Although, like any hopping neighborhood that won’t necessarily stay that way. Regardless it’s so cute!If I had to move back to NYC I just might live in Brooklyn…. Okay, probably not. I am a Upper Westside girl but I’d give it a good thought maybe…

The first day there I took a little run through the beautiful brownstone lined streets of Brooklyn… the perfect way to energize my run! Hello, Fall! Then I headed into Manhattan. When it comes to anything other than Manhattan trains I am lost in the sauce. But I learned something cool… You can use your Maps to give your “transit” directions! What?! Total lifesaver… Although, on the way in I was reading and working on the Subway… Great use of time… unless you get sucked into a good book and miss your stop. Don’t do that! No fun! But I finally met up with my girl for lunch and a little Boss Babe Power Hour. There is just something so invigorating and inspiring about working in the City. Got so much done and it felt great! We had a really yummy lunch at the Bean & Bean Organic Coffee shop in Chelsea. The hummus avocado sandwich is perfection!

That night we decided that an epic meal was in our future… so before we pigged out in foodie heaven we hit up a cycling class. Not my first choice but it turned out to be the best choice! We went to BKYLYN. I have taken cycling classes before but this class was out of bounds! I didn’t even realize I was working out… I mean, I knew, trust me. The burn was real but I had a blast! Danielle was so kind and really umped us up! After we walked down the street to a restaurant we found on Yelp… When we got there we were drenched in sweat and in gym clothes… And the restaurant, Faust, is pretty fancy. But we said Fuck It and went in anyway! Glad we did.. the hostess said that people come over after working out all the time. Phew! So glad we didn’t let our look change our minds… I had the rabbit bolognese… O.M.G. I can’t even describe the level of amazingness of this dish. I am not a huge rabbit person our server told me it was the best on the menu so I said let’s do it… He wasn’t lying! Heavens to Betsy! It was so good. I was tempted to try a dessert too but we had something fun in store to feed our sweet tooth!

We walked a few “NYC” block to one of the coolest places I have ever been. You walk into Butter & Scotch and first the smell of homemade delights hits you… then you catch the vibe. It’s kind of almost a dive but not…. It’s cozy but vibrant. And the menu… OMG I just enjoyed reading the menu! Especially when they describe the yummiest cookie ever and under the description it  says, “Dude, dunk it in a White Russian.” Yes, please! I almost got this signature Birthday Cake because after all #BitchesLoveSprinkles

The next day was a bit more of a go with the flow kind of day. My little cousin has been living in the City so we met up at the Meatball Shop. I didn’t realize that it is a chain… but now that I know, I am praying they open one in Columbus or Charleston… Very soon! I got the Smash with Heritage Balls and Parmesan Cream sauce and for my side I got the sprouts… Dude… DUDE! I am not a big meatball fan but this place has completely changed my mind! They were so yummy. I ate it all!

After lunch I took a walk through the East Side. I needed some gifts for the fam bam… where else do you go?… Bloomingdales! Okay, so this was the one touristy thing I did. But, I mean, its Bloomingdales. I had so much fun wandering through and buying all kinds of goodies!

That night was our last night in the city. We wanted to make it special since it was my girl’s farewell night. We got all dressed up and went back to the City to the Meatpacking District to Restoration Hardware. Again, yes, I can go to RH back home… but it’s just not the same. RH in NYC is huge! Several floors of beautiful interior designed spaces. I could have spent all day there. I soaked up as much inspo as I possibly could. Absolutely dreamy!

We had dinner on the rooftop restaurant at Restoration Hardware. The views were absolutely breathtaking. And everything was just so perfect. The service was top notch and then some! The RH Belini… You’ve got to try it! Refreshingly delish! For dinner we split a salad, which it’s a salad but even it was outstanding! For dinner I had the roast beef sandwich with au jus and french fries with garlic aioli. They don’t have a ton of food options and not much for small meals but the sandwich did not leave me disappointed. It melted in my mouth like I a beefy cloud. Paired with a pinot… yeah, good choice!

It was a magical evening and the perfect way to end our trip. I will say I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get my New York slice. I kept thinking about it the whole trip…. How can I squeeze a slice in… Well, on our drive home I got my New York City slice! Maybe it wasn’t in the City but it tasted just as good! We stopped in Harrisburg, PA at Tonino’s. And of course I had to have a pepperoni slice in my adorable YummieWear tank (a gift from the Yummie Gang after meeting up for a quick photoshoot before we hit the road.)

Perfect quick trip to New York City. If you find yourself in the Big Apple make sure you check out one or all of these amazing places… You won’t be disappointed!! Happy Wandering!

Cut Out The Noise

In today’s world noise surrounds us. Sometimes it is just noise… External things and chatter happening around us. Sometimes it is the drama that is a part of our everyday life and can engulf us… If we let it. So how do you shut it out and focus on you? It isn’t always easy, but it can be done with a little intention and creativity.

Noise comes in many forms from gossip to traffic to a soul sucking job. First thing you have to do is really understand what noise is to you. For each of us this is different. What may annoy me might make you laugh. Once you identify what is noise you can then begin to deal with it. So, understanding you is at the heart of living your best life noise free.

One of the easiest thing to do is simply cut out the drama and noise from your life. About a year ago I went on a super deep exploration of my life. I analyzed everything in my life and started cutting out the noise. I had a few friends that drained me. Whenever I would end a conversation with them I felt depleted and sometimes a little depressed or annoyed. So, I stopped talking to them. I didn’t confront them about what was going on I just stopped reaching out and always seemed to be busy… which isn’t a lie! I barley have time to see anyone, but my true friends totally understand and are completely happy with a phone call once a week or so. And let me tell you what… those friends, those conversations are insane! I end chats with them completely inspired and uplifted. It has changed my life and my daily behaviors like you would not believe… all because I cut out people who are no longer in the same headspace as myself. Some of them were toxic others were just small thinkers (which is completely okay!). They just aren’t right for me at this time and place of my life.

Sometimes we can’t cut out the noise completely. Sometimes we have to learn to live with it. Like traffic… you have to go to work. You have to leave the house… okay you don’t have to, but I highly recommend it. So, in these moments try to find another way to live with the traffic…. Did you ever think the traffic is the perfect opportunity for you to be more productive? I have a long commute and sometimes as a REALTOR® I have to drive a lot…. A LOT! So, I take that time to not get annoyed with the driving, but instead I take that time to listen to a podcast to inspire self-growth or I call clients that I need to call that day. By the end of my drive I am not anxious or annoyed at all…. I am actually super motivated.

There are a zillion ways to cut out or divert the noise… You just have to be creative and experiment with what works for you. Don’t get me wrong… the noise still gets to me sometimes, like on social media. Ugh. But I have learned not to fear the unfollow button!!! Especially on Facebook. It’s my best friend (did you know you and unfollow someone on Facebook and not unfriend them?! So no one has to know!!)

Do what you have to do to protect your happiness. This is your life and you only get one chance to live it. Live it with peace and noise free as much as possible. Whatever you have to do is important for you and the ones you live. So do it and Give Zero Fucks about it!

Wandering In St. Louis

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

Y’all!! I finally had a trip that I never wanted to end. Our travels to St. Louis were absolutely enjoyable and relaxing… which, with a two year old isn’t an easy thing to achieve. But St. Louis was magical. I am already planning my trip back. I can’t wait!

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

For starters, we stayed in an Airbnb… brilliant! Talk about a game changer! Shocking as it may be, this was my first Airbnb… yeah, I know. Anywho, it was amazing. We stayed in this adorable little cottage… Okay, well… So, when we first got there it was almost midnight and to get to this cottage you drive up this massive hill and at the end of the lane it splits off from all the other little homes and ends with these two storage buildings. You don’t see the cottage until you look down this hill behind the storage sheds… and it was pitch black… and you can hear wildlife… and you have no idea where the hell you are… so CREEPY! Note to self, bring a flashlight. We got into the cottage and holy cuteness! It was absolutely adorable and CLEAN! It had everything we needed. Of course, the AC was not working. Go figure! The bedrooms were upstairs and the first floor was already at 80 degrees. So it was warm and we were so tired. But the property managers came out and fixed it! Talk about amazing service! They were so sweet and gave us amazing tips on places to check out.

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

The next morning we woke up in the most beautiful place. The cottage was nestled in the woods with a large yard for Duke to run. It was just stunning. There wasn’t any Wifi BUT you just had to take a short walk to this adorable sitting area that overlooked the Mississippi River. And to be honest… We didn’t end up using Wifi . It was vacation time afterall!

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

Our wanderlust adventure in St. LouisOur first day we just wandered around driving through Grafton and Alton, exploring the countryside… which is gorgeous. I took the opportunity to take as many photo ops as possible. Which ended up being tons of fun. We had lunch at The Loading Dock which sits right on the Mississippi River. The food was typical bar/diner food but the view was breathtaking. (If you’re going in the Fall/Winter be aware that they are only open on the weekends) Then we went back to the cottage and ran around the yard capturing as many memories as possible. Such a magical moment.

For dinner we picked up pizza at this delicious local joint called Johnson’s Corner. The pizza… Holy Amazeballs! So good. I think the mushroom truffle pizza was my fav. But what’s fun about Johnson’s Corner is that they offer a monthly special pizza that is really just an experiment. Their disclaimer is that it doesn’t always work out… which for me if brilliant! So right up my alley. I love a good adventure.

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

The next day I woke up and walked up to the lookout spot to just take in the river. The best part about that morning for me was that I was able to see something I have NEVER seen before… white pelicans! St. Louis is a great place to catch migratory birds like bald eagles and white pelicans. They are gorgeous and in mass numbers which is so majestic. Very cool thing to see.

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

Our wanderlust adventure in St. LouisThen we headed to the zoo! Which if you didn’t know is FREE! Whaaatt???!!! Heck yeah it is! And it is fantastic. Possibly one of the best zoos I have ever been too. They have done a truly incredible job landscaping the grounds. You feel like you are in a park not a zoo. It is very calming. The exhibits are beautiful too. They have done a wonderful job giving the exhibits that natural feel. Of course this means tons of hiding places for the animals but none of us seemed to mind. We got to see so many rare animals that you don’t see in other zoos so it was still incredible. The kids had a blast running everywhere and seeing all of their fav animals in an experience that feels so close. If you are ever in St. Louis you absolutely MUST go to the zoo no matter your age. So fun!

That night the whole gang came back to the cottage for dinner. I think that is what I truly enjoyed. It was so wonderful to invite everyone over and spend some quality family time. The kids could run and we could relax and enjoy it without fear of what they might get into. That is just not something you get if you stay in a hotel.

Our wanderlust adventure in St. Louis

I so wish our trip could have been longer. The Alton-Grafton area so gorgeous and beyond peaceful. While it’s on the Illinois side of the river it is crazy close to the city. So you get to do all the cool city stuff in St. Louis and yet enjoy the tranquility of the wilderness on the Illinois side. I can’t wait to go back. Absolutely heading back soon to explore more of the area and enjoy the coziness of that adorable little cottage.

Wanderlust Where You Live

Find your Wanderlust no matter where you live.

To wanderlust is to have an irresistible impulse to travel. This, yes, this I get. Clearly… I’m the wanderlust REALTOR® after all. But as life got crazy busy with work, a munchkin and all that fills a life, my concept of wanderlust has changed. Before it was about traveling to far of exotic places… Now, not so much.

I would LOVE to explore the world. That has always been my dream and a big piece of my WHY. The reason I hustle my ass of and am working on building my empire is to be able to see and share the word with my munchkin. But let’s be real… when you are building your empire the last thing you have time or money for is to travel the world. So my wanderlust heart is changing.

I am starting to realize that I can satisfy my wanderlust by exploring the world I live in. The world that is close. I don’t have to leave the country, the state or even the city I live in! So that is what I have been doing lately. I am exploring my world. I go camping whenever I can. Nothing to far away so that I can still stay connected with my clients.

Once I started allowing myself to see my local world like some exotic foreign country… Whoa! Holy crap do I love where I live so much more! At 18 I left Ohio as quickly as I possibly could and I never looked back. Before moving back it had been years since I had come home. I wanted nothing to do with Ohio. Then life forced me back and I fought it. But now I am seeing this beautiful state for it’s true beauty. I am exploring it’s lakes and rivers, it food joints, its entertainment spots and all the goodies in between. Now I can’t imagine living anywhere else.

So get out there. Explore YOUR world. Wanderlust the place you live. You might find a fabulous surprise.

Moving In… First Things First

It's time to start moving in... but first, get your home fabulously ready!

Moving into your new home is a super exciting time, and you’re probably daydreaming about decor and paint schemes and new furniture. But before you get into the fun stuff, there are some basics you should cover first.

Change the locks

Even if you’re promised that new locks have been installed in your home, you can never be too careful. It’s worth the money to have the peace of mind that comes with knowing that no one else has the keys to your home. Changing the locks can be a DIY project, or you can call in a locksmith for a little extra money.

Steam clean the carpets

It’s good to get a fresh start with your floors before you start decorating. The previous owners may have had pets, young children, or just some plain old clumsiness. Take the time to steam clean the carpets so that your floors are free of stains and allergens. It’s pretty easy and affordable to rent a steam cleaner… Or call Stanley.

Call an exterminator

Prior to move-in, you probably haven’t spent enough time in the house to get a view of any pests that may be lurking. Call an exterminator to take care of any mice, insects, and other critters that may be hiding in your home.

Clean out the kitchen

If the previous occupants wanted to skip on some of their cleaning duties when they moved out, the kitchen is where they probably cut corners. Wipe down the inside of cabinets, clean out the refrigerator, clean the oven, and clean in the nooks and crannies underneath the appliances.

These simple steps will make your first night in your new dream home that much sweeter! So take a moment to make that first night perfect.  Now that that’s done… let’s decorate!!

Protect Your Mental Health

Are you the warrior protector of your Mental Health?

This week I noticed my mental health is in the crapper. The past month has been really freaking rough for me. I have a super scary situation that I am living through and it is fucking with my mental clarity. Bottom line… I am scared. Do you ever go through moments like that? They can consume you if you let them. So it is SOOOO important to protect your mental health.

Sometimes we have control over the situations in our lives that freak us out… but let’s be real, most of the time we don’t. Most of the time it is completely out of our control. We are at the mercy of the Universe. And it seriously SUCKS! You are powerless… Well, kind of but not really.

You may be powerless over the specific situation that has you in knots but you are 100% percent in control of your mental health. You are the driver of your mind so it is insanely important to protect it, to take care of it, to give it love. This is how you get through the tough times in life. You take care of YOU!

Don’t get caught up in the crazies of life. Give your mind a timeout. Spend a weekend alone reading a motivational book, doing your favorite physical activity or maybe head over to a hotel and take the weekend for a power writing sesh. Do whatever you feel your mind needs.

The other important piece, maybe the most important, is to block out the bullshit! Cut it off! Don’t let in any negative vibes. You don’t have time for that shit. Think of it like your soul mission in life is to protect your mental health. You are a fierce warrior and you are not going to let any bad juju ruin your day, your week, YOU LIFE!

You will get through this rough patch… We will get through this. But we have to protect our mental health. So let’s make a pact right now that we will protect our mental health at all cost! No matter what no one and nothing are going to ruin our vibe. I promise, if we make our priority to be warriors for our mental well being then good vibrations will come our way! So let’s go warriors! It is time to conquer this little thing called life.
